Sometimes, some people should not stick their nose to where it does not belong. Whether you are a citizen or a person-in-authority, it does not matter. And The Hellbound stresses that line to that number of Philippine government officials who turns a video of pelvis swaying inwards, outwards and circles and exchanging body heat into a sort-of “national issue”.
You see, those who stress the controversial sex video of Ms. Halili and Dr. Kho too much over the government’s high ranks should stop inflicting more personal shame over the affected. Yes, their intention on soothing the victim’s pain is truthful enough, but they should take action discreetly. Sensationalizing will only choke the person and her dignity even further.
And there are more important matters to be focused on like the current Great Book Blockade in the country. Those corrupted souls in the Customs department fill up their name with more dirt and dust as they attempt to slap the mountain of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer with tax, which is a grave violation over one United Nations treaty: The Florence agreement. That treaty states and guarantees “free flow of educational, scientific and cultural materials”, which feeds on the mortals’ very need for knowledge.
And would you look at this? 1% tax will be slapped on educational books and 5% tax on the non-educational ones, and the government will surely have the power to determine which books are between the two book kinds. Now that leaves the question: when is a book non-educational? Oh yes, no matter how many arguments come along with that question, nobody can ignore the fact that each book has a lesson or a set of to share to the reader. Not everyone likes Twilight, but it still shed some lessons to its readers after all. And I would prefer not expounding on that because I am not one of the readers.
The bottom line is, everyone’s eyes were now open to the current world’s economic condition, and now this form of corruption worsens that. Those bounded set of papers that opens chests of knowledge and shells out ladders to farther imagination will be more unreachable to those who cannot afford. And soon enough, it will be hurtful on the current rich’s pockets as well. And I may be an evil entity, but I surely know my limits (I am methodically evil, damn it). And I believe this issue is crossing the line and boils my blood to the extreme. This nonsense should burn in Hell.
