The angels have fetched the soul of the Republic of the Philippines’ former president, Corazon Aquino, for her time has come to rest after years of battling with some of the most dreaded of all dreaded. And I say, another icon bites the dust, and another precious gift the world has lost.
After her most loved, Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr., was assassinated in 1983 after years of exile in the United States, his death became a catalyst for Corazon and the entire opposition of the Marcos regime to stand up and start a revolution, and she transformed from a plain housewife into the one who will unite everyone against the Philippine dictator.
With her leadership during the first EDSA revolution, our country taught the world that a large number can crush dictatorship without spilling of human blood, without guns and blades. And with the revolution, the dictatorship fell, Cory took over the throne in a humble manner, and finally freedom rose from the dead. And the whole country owed their new leader a debt of gratitude, most especially on the freedom of speech, expression.
I, The Hellbound, would like to show my admiration and appreciation for the fallen former leader of the Red, Blue and Yellow land for she is one of the greatest fighters in the world that has ever lived. She is not even a soldier, but she destroyed a 20-year dictatorship without laying a finger on it. And that… that is a remarkable attribute.
Thank you, dearest Cory. You will be truly missed.

I have also changed The Journal’s skin to black, yellow and white for the meantime. This is my way of showing my appreciation for Cory and what she has accomplished. Again, thank you Cory.
